A Temptations group says San Diego nonprofit group to help women veterans bounced a check

SAN DIEGO – Sources told Team 10 a nonprofit organization that raised money for female military veterans who are victims of sexual assault never gave money to anyone, owes thousands of dollars to The Temptations Review group and went gambling with donations in Las Vegas.

Team 10 talked to several sources about the National Women Veterans Association of America (NWVAA), including the organization’s director, and San Diego police.

Former NWVAA employee Donna Ontjes said she was there when NWVAA Director Tara Jones gambled away money from the donors and from herself.

“They expected the money to be spent to help people and there wasn’t anybody being helped,” Ontjes said.
